Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment, and Majid Al-Hogail, Minister of Housing, honored the Saudi Asset Valuation Company “Tathmeen” for sponsoring the conference on the state of the real estate appraisal profession in the Kingdom, which was organized by the Saudi Authority for Certified Appraisers and held in Riyadh.

Ahmed bin Ali Asiri, General Manager of Tathmeen, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Commerce and Investment and the Minister of Housing for this honor. Asiri added that the current regulatory framework in the market—through legislation and regulations approved by the state, including the legal recognition of the appraisal profession and the establishment of a professional authority represented by ”Tatmeem,” will bring about a fundamental correction to the market. This will solidify the profession’s foundations and establish regulatory controls and reference standards for appraisal processes, It will also qualify professionals working in the appraisal profession and work to develop operational mechanisms; furthermore, this regulation will benefit the relevant sectors.

It is worth noting that Tathmeen sponsored the first conference on the state of the real estate appraisal profession in the Kingdom. Several workshops were held on the sidelines of the conference to discuss market developments, the future of the real estate appraisal profession, and its positive impact on market regulation and the determination of fair and true values for real estate assets.
