The Saudi Export Development Authority revealed that the volume of Saudi exports of building materials reached about 16 billion riyals in 2015, a growth of 5% over the past two years, at a time when the authority plans to reach Saudi exports to reach 50 percent of the total non-oil GDP by 2030.
This came during the Authority's participation in the International Building and Construction Exhibition "The Big Five", which was held recently in Dubai, where it emphasized that the exhibition is a global event in the construction sector for manufacturers, contractors, project owners and decision makers, and contributes to introducing the regional contracting sector to opportunities to import Saudi building materials, giving local companies the opportunity to learn about future trends in this sector, discuss opportunities available in international markets and exchange meetings with target customers.
This came during its participation in the activities of the International Building and Construction Exhibition "The Big Five", which was held recently in Dubai.
The Authority succeeded in highlighting the representatives of national companies in the Saudi pavilion and showing their production capabilities, highlighting the quality of Saudi building and construction products and their competitiveness among their counterparts from different countries participating in the exhibition, while the Saudi pavilion witnessed many official meetings and meetings with investors, businessmen, regional and international bodies, institutions and companies.
