The Saudi Dutch Bank unveiled its new identity and brand, under which the bank will be renamed “Al-Bank Al-Awal,” thereby beginning a new era in its long-standing banking history in the Kingdom, which spans nearly 90 years.
This announcement was made during a press conference held by the bank for this occasion at The Ritz-Carlton Riyadh, where it explained that the new identity and its associated innovative brand stem from the concept of “pioneering spirit,” which has been integral to the bank’s journey over the years, and aligns with its strategy—which is fundamentally based on exceeding the expectations of current and potential customers.
At its core, the new identity reflects the bank’s rich heritage—it was founded in 1926 as the first bank operating in the Kingdom—and also reflects the bank’s awareness of the evolving banking landscape and its embrace of innovation as the foundation for its operations.
The bank’s Chairman, Engineer Mubarak bin Abdullah Al-Khafra, emphasized that since its founding 90 years ago, Al-Awal Bank has left a lasting mark on shaping the Saudi banking sector, supporting its development, and strengthening its tools, noting that this change marks the culmination of the bank’s rich history in the banking sector.
