Increased land supply In turn, the General Supervisor of the White Land Fees Program, Engineer Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Madhiem, explained during a press conference held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Housing today in the presence of H.E. Minister of Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al Haqeel, to talk about the end of the registration period for white lands subject to the system in its first phase, with areas of 10 thousand square meters and above in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, that the white land fees system aims to increase the supply of developed lands to achieve balance between supply and demand and provide residential lands at appropriate prices. He said: "The number of registrants in the electronic portal during the past six months reached 1792 registrants who submitted 2278 applications, of which 1326 applications were complete and included all the required documents and information. The portal and the program's email received 1320 inquiries from citizens, all of which were responded to within a reasonable period of time. The number of lands registered through the Real Estate Developer Services Center (Ekmam) reached 169 lands, after the ministry called on landowners who may face difficulty in using the portal to go to the branches of the Ekmam Center to register their lands through its employees, in order to facilitate them and accelerate their procedures." Registration details According to Al Madhyhem, the areas of land registered in the portal at the level of various cities of the Kingdom amounted to 635 million square meters, including 2278 lands, adding:" The number of registered lands in Riyadh reached 648 lands, in Jeddah the number of lands reached 597 lands, while the number of lands registered in Dammam reached 607 lands, and the portal also received a number of lands in other cities not subject to the system in its first phase, which amounted to 418 lands with a total area of 43 million square meters, and the area of lands whose registration was completed from 10 thousand square meters and above reached 5 million square meters, and 26 thousand square meters below 10 thousand square meters."
He stated that the ministry will work during the current period to sort the lands registered in the electronic portal, to identify the developed lands that are not subject to the system in its first phase, as well as consider the requests for exemption and verify their compliance with the conditions specified in the executive regulations, to then work on the evaluation in preparation for the collection of fees, through the "Land Value Assessment" committee that is appointed by a decision of the Minister of Housing, and then begin the stage of sending decisions to the landowners, provided that they are given a full year to pay the due fee, and after the end of the year the fees continue at the same stage which is the stage
