The Real Estate Contributions Committee of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment issued a notice and warning to owners of stalled real estate projects who did not respond to its announcement, instructing them to meet with the Ministry within 30 days to discuss the status of those projects and attempt find quick solutions to finalize the sale procedures, by placing them on the travel ban list and the “service suspension” wanted list, whereas if they do not respond after 60 days, they will be included on the arrest list and brought before the committee in accordance with established procedures.

The Real Estate Contributions Committee had revealed that there are 7 stalled real estate projects spread across Riyadh, Makkah, Al-Qassim, and Madinah, and some of their owners or agents could not be located; the total area of these projects exceeds 10 million square meters.
