The Ministry of Housing, represented by the “Ijar,” announced an advanced mechanism currently being developed that includes a comprehensive survey of citizens unable to pay rent, including prisoners and families of the deceased, with the aim of supporting them.
Project Manager Engineer Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Samari confirmed that the survey will be conducted in conjunction with the launch of the National Electronic Rental Services Network “Ejar” Al-Samari expects the “Ejar” system to be launched during the first quarter of 2017, which will offer many benefits to tenants, landlords, and real estate brokers alike, and serves as a binding enforceable instrument.
It is worth noting that last June, the Council of Ministers directed the Ministry of Housing to prepare and implement a program to ensure support for citizens unable to pay rent, funded from allocations in the state budget, subsidies, donations, and endowments designated for this purpose.
