Four axes in the achievement book

The Engineers Authority's plan is based on 4 main axes to contribute to the start of activating the vision and achieving the desired achievements and goals, as they include: - Seeking to advance the engineering profession and create incentives to raise quality and creativity - Qualifying and developing the Saudi engineer and raising the level of performance - Attention to developing the work of engineering and consulting offices and raising their capabilities and capabilities - Attention to the infrastructure to develop the Authority and its work procedures, and all these axes have witnessed remarkable development during the past year.

Achievements at all levels

<Al-Baqaawi added that the Commission worked at the level of the profession a number of achievements to preserve the engineering profession and protect it from the intrusion of non-specialists or derailing the profession, most notably: Catching fraudulent engineers and even ending it by preventing the entry of any engineer to the Kingdom until after verifying the authenticity of his certificate, as the process of checking the certificates of engineers is now done before they enter the Kingdom.

Testing expatriate engineers

In line with the directives and support of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, who recently ordered to link the renewal of the residency of engineering assistants and technicians to registration in the Authority after the successes achieved by the Engineers Authority in controlling the quality of engineers and auditing their certificates and qualifications to include among its tasks the audit of the certificates of engineering assistants and technicians, which will have a great impact in protecting the engineering profession.

Registering engineers from outside the Kingdom with a minimum of three years experience, a professional engineering test and a personal interview.

Establishment of the Transportation and Traffic Engineering Division

<The Board of Engineers has initiated the establishment of the Transport and Traffic Engineering Division in addition to more than 20 specialized engineering divisions in the Board of Engineers, due to its importance at the present time, as transportation and traffic are two important elements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially with the expansion of cities and the increase in population, which resulted in an increase in the number of cars and various means of transportation, whether public, private or commercial. The Commission saw the need to establish a division concerned with this aspect, in light of the expansion and development of the transportation network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia significantly with the emergence of issues in transportation and traffic, such as traffic congestion and poor traffic safety in the road network, until traffic accidents became a phenomenon suffered by all sectors of society and caused human suffering for individuals and great economic losses to the state in public and private property.

Finding permanent headquarters

<The main branches of the Authority in Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah have been relocated to permanent headquarters in modern buildings that contribute to creating a healthy and comfortable working environment for employees and establishing training and conference rooms in these buildings, which benefit its members and are supported by the most modern technologies for practical and advanced training. The Authority has also adopted methods of operational performance excellence by formulating its work procedures according to best practices and linking them to performance indicators and follow-up implementation and improvement to raise the quality of work and measure the performance of its departments, as well as the introduction of the Authority's asset control system, given the importance of the Authority's assets in the field of engineering.

Associates doubled to 100%

<The result of these efforts is that the number of Saudi engineers doubled to 100% within a year despite the fact that registration in the Engineers Authority is optional for the Saudi engineer and not compulsory as is the case with the expatriate engineer, and the Authority is keen during the new year to continue to develop, and provide new steps towards advancing the engineering field and developing its outputs, which will be the most important part in achieving the vision of the Kingdom 2030, as the Saudi Engineers Authority aspires to promote the engineering profession and enable engineers and engineering institutions to reach optimal solutions, raise the level of education and performance and encourage creativity and innovation.
