Amlak Real Estate Newspaper publishes the tasks of the General Authority for Real Estate according to the third article of its organization

<Article 3 explains the main purpose of establishing the Authority, which is to regulate, supervise and develop non-governmental real estate activity to raise its efficiency and encourage investment in it in line with the objectives of economic and social development.
The article detailed the powers of the Authority, which came in 177 paragraphs that varied between regulation and supervision, awareness and training, monitoring the real estate market and increasing its contribution to GDP, integration with concerned authorities, encouraging investment and real estate development.

The third article stipulates the following:

The main purpose of the Authority is to regulate, supervise and develop non-governmental real estate activity to increase its efficiency and encourage investment in it in line with the objectives of economic and social development.

The Authority shall have the authority to regulate, supervise and develop non-governmental real estate activity. In order to achieve the purposes for which it was established, the Authority shall have all the powers necessary to do so, and in particular shall have the following:

  1. Propose laws, regulations and policies related to real estate activities, and submit them for completion.
  2. Developing the necessary plans to exercise its competencies and supervising their implementation.
  3. Licensing and supervising real estate activities.
  4. Developing standards for real estate activities,
  5. Organizing real estate exhibitions, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
  6. Developing the bases for determining the financial compensation for real estate activities, in a manner that does not violate the rules of competition.
  7. Encouraging investment in real estate activities, providing a suitable and fair environment in this field.
  8. Coordinate with the concerned agencies in order to ensure the integration of real estate infrastructure and achieve the relevant national goals, policies and strategies.
  9. Convening conferences, seminars and meetings related to the fields of work in accordance with the regulations governing this, and participating in international exhibitions, in coordination with the concerned authorities.
  10. Spreading awareness of real estate sector regulations and activities.
  11. Following up the implementation of real estate-related agreements concluded between the Kingdom and other countries in coordination with the concerned authorities.
  12. Monitoring real estate indicators to achieve stability and balance.
  13. To provide the necessary training and qualification for those licensed to practice real estate activities and those working in these activities.
  14. Developing the necessary controls to regulate and control real estate advertisements published in all means, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
  15. Research, studies and statistics in the field of real estate activities.
  16. Establishing an electronic portal containing real estate information bases necessary for real estate activities, whether available at the Authority or other concerned parties, with periodic updates, and making it available to those concerned.
  17. Coordinate with the Ministry to represent the Kingdom in international and regional organizations and forums related to its jurisdiction, in accordance with the established procedures.
