The Real Estate Developers Chamber of the Federation of Egyptian Industries plans to launch three initiatives to support the sector. The first involves granting foreigners temporary residency in exchange for purchasing a property valued at approximately $250,000 or more. In this regard, Tarek Shukri, president of the Real Estate Developers Chamber at the Federation of Egyptian Industries, explained in press statements that this initiative is expected to bring in $5 billion annually, noting that it has been formally studied and presented to the Minister of Housing.

Shukri noted that the Chamber is undertaking another initiative, which aims to restore balance in the coming period by raising public awareness, Given the devaluation of the pound and rising prices, the market needs innovative ideas, and a new culture must take root in Egypt regarding residential apartment sizes—ensuring that large, underutilized spaces are avoided, In addition, safety factors in designs are currently too high because consultants fear poor execution, which drives design costs 20% higher than the actual cost. He emphasized the importance of a new mindset and authentic design.
