The Riyadh Chamber of Commerce held a ceremony to honor the members of its Board of Directors, the chairs and members of its main committees, and the Secretary General of the 16th term, The Chamber’s lobby witnessed a large gathering of business leaders, members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, and the chairs and members of its committees from both the previous and current terms.Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Zamil, former Chairman of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the region’s business sector’s ability to implement the plan outlined by the Kingdom’s Future Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz—may God protect him—His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and His Royal Highness the Deputy Crown Prince. He explained that the honor reflects the depth of the values of loyalty and their deep roots in Saudi society.
In turn, Engineer Ahmed Al-Rajhi, Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, praised the role played by the Chairman of the Board and the heads of the sectoral committees during the past term, as well as their efforts to promote the interests of the business sector, cooperate with the government sector to improve the private sector’s business environment, and overcome obstacles.He said that for more than half a century, the Chamber has been a beacon of activity in serving the business sector in the Riyadh region, Al-Rajhi noted that this role has become even more critical amid the restructuring of the national economy and the diversification of income sources, the characteristics and parameters of which are defined in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020, with the aim of building a strong economy that does not rely on oil revenues as its sole major source of income.
