The Ministry of Housing’s “Wafi” off-plan sales and leasing program announced a tender for the design, marketing, construction, and delivery of residential units on Ministry of Housing land (Phase Two) in several cities and governorates.

The Ministry clarified in a statement that to obtain the terms and specifications booklet for each project, a certified, non-refundable check in the amount of 15,000 riyals must be submitted, made out to the Off-Plan Sales or Leasing Committee, or deposited into the committee’s account at Banque de France, along with proof of payment (payment receipt) and a notarized power of attorney from the Chamber of Commerce authorizing the pickup of the documents at the committee’s headquarters at the Ministry of Housing.It noted that the deadline for submitting qualification bids and their attachments—such as bank guarantees and required documents—is Tuesday, February 28, 2017.It noted that the list of qualified companies and the allocation of residential land plots will be announced on March 19, 2017, and the selection of the winning company or companies will be announced on June 1, 2017.She added that the showroom will begin receiving beneficiaries to reserve residential units on July 16, 2017, and the marketing phase will be completed on August 16, 2017.

She said that the deadline for obtaining building permits and commencing construction will be November 11, 2017, while construction will be completed and the project will be finalized on September 9, 2019.
