With the participation of major construction, contracting and real estate companies, the 19th Saudi International Building and Construction Exhibition “Buildex” will be held from 6 to 9 March 2017 at the Dhahran Expo Center on the Dammam Khobar coastal road, under the patronage of Eastern Province Governor Engineer Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Jubeir.
On this occasion, the CEO of Dhahran Expo, Mohammed bin Hamad Al Husseini, explained that the exhibition witnesses the participation of the most important experiences in the building and construction sector for contractors, real estate developers and project owners a wide range of construction solutions, and provides visitors with the opportunity to see the latest innovations in building and construction materials, technologies and equipment: 13.5pt; font-family: "Arial','sans-serif'; color: #404040;'>.
Husseini said that the exhibition aims to shed light on the development of the Saudi industry and technology in this field in addition to exchanging experiences with developed countries, which leads to driving growth in addition to highlighting the active role and development of the building and construction sector in the Kingdom: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Arial',"sans-serif"; color: #404040;">.
It also aims to highlight the effective role in expanding the business of contractors and project owners and sources of supply for all their project needs by opening up to potential global markets for their products, by meeting with major national, Arab and foreign companies working in the field of industry, trade and distribution of construction and real estate products, which ensures direct access to the main companies involved in the building and construction industry in Saudi Arabia.
Statistical information confirms that the Kingdom has the largest and most important market in the field of projects and construction estimated at more than 2.2 trillion riyals, indicating that the volume of construction projects in Saudi Arabia reached 403.15 billion riyals in 2016 .
Husseini stated that the exhibition witnessed local and international participation 60% local and 40% international: The United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, China, India, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain and Qatar, where he presented the achievements related to the building and construction sector from manufacturing, import, export and purchase, in addition to the latest developments in the heavy equipment industry, which provides a qualitative service to the Saudi market significantly, and the latest materials used in interior design and decoration of homes and buildings, where the exhibitions provided an internal area of 7200 square meters and 3000 square meters outdoor area to display their products.
