As part of his ongoing visits to banks, Housing Minister Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail visited Al-Rajhi Bank, where he met with the bank’s Chairman, Mr. Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, in an extensive meeting at the bank’s headquarters in Riyadh, attended by senior officials from both sides.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the Ministry and the bank in the area of developing and supporting the housing sector, and enabling eligible citizens to own housing units, His Excellency the Minister reviewed the latest products and programs launched by the Real Estate Development Fund in partnership with Saudi banks, including accelerated financing, subsidized financing, and affordable mortgage products, launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and the Real Estate Development Fund, in partnership with Al Rajhi Bank, which was among the first banks to meet the requirements of the Ministry and the Fund.
For his part, Mr. Abdullah Al-Rajhi stated that the bank is committed to supporting the government’s efforts to meet citizens’ needs, drive housing finance, and contribute to all initiatives that serve citizens and customers.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors thanked the Minister and his accompanying delegation for their informative presentation, which highlighted the importance the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques—represented by the Ministry of Housing—attaches to this matter, as the Ministry is making tremendous efforts to propose solutions that facilitate citizens’ access to suitable housing, emphasizing that Al Rajhi Bank is making every effort to contribute to finding real estate solutions that suit eligible individuals, enabling them to obtain suitable housing, and making housing solutions accessible to the widest possible segment of citizens, regardless of their financial means.
