The symposium «Housing and Real Estate Finance» organized by the Eastern Chamber under the patronage of the Minister of Housing Dr. Shuwaish Al-Duwaihi and hosted by the main headquarters of the Chamber with the participation of a wide range of companies and real estate finance institutions and related institutions, in addition to the participation of a group of businessmen and housing experts.
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber Abdul Rahman Al-Rashed explained that the seminar, which will be held on November 26, 2013, aims to draw a picture of the reality of housing, new real estate systems and regulations, and real estate financing institutions, and Al-Rashed explained that housing is a strategic sector directly related to development and keeping pace with the renaissance that the Kingdom is experiencing, in light of the increasing interest at the official and popular levels, and the valuable initiatives launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to promote this sector to keep pace with the aspirations of its citizens and face the challenges it faces with practical solutions and sincere initiatives, most notably the transformation of housing apparatus into a ministry
Al-Rashed pointed to a number of initiatives, decisions and legislation aimed at finding successful solutions to the housing issue, hence the importance of the seminar organized by the Chamber to study this situation and contribute to it with a set of proposals that contribute to facilitating and accelerating the process of solution and treatment.
For his part, the Chairman of the Chamber's Real Estate Committee, Dr. Ayed Al-Qahtani, said that the Chamber has attached importance to the real estate sector and has endeavored to solve many of the issues that this sector suffers from, due to its importance linked to social and economic development, hence the idea of holding such a seminar, praising at the same time the decisions issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, which includes the Ministry of Housing taking over the file of grants and planning lands allocated for housing, implementing infrastructure, giving eligible citizens developed lands and financial loans.
The seminar was organized by the Chamber to study this situation and contribute to a number of proposals that contribute to facilitate and accelerate the process of solving and addressing it.
