During a visit to Samba Financial Group, Housing Minister Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Samba Financial Group, Isa bin Mohammed Al-Issa, discussed prospects for cooperation between the two sides and ways to strengthen their existing partnership in the real estate and housing finance sector, with the aim of overcoming the challenges facing this sector by launching more joint initiatives and programs in this area.
During his visit to the bank, the Minister of Housing provided a comprehensive explanation of the latest plans and programs adopted by the Ministry to enable more citizens to own housing units through affordable financing programs sponsored and supported by Saudi banks, For his part, Al-Issa affirmed the Group’s support for the Ministry’s programs, including housing finance, affordable mortgages, and partnerships with the private sector, noting that the Group would harness all its capabilities to contribute to supporting the housing programs and initiatives adopted by the Ministry of Housing,in line with its established role as an active development partner.
Al-Issa noted that these programs reflect the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz —may God preserve him—and his wise government, which calls for the government and private sectors to join forces to accelerate the pace of development projects, foremost among them housing projects, for which the banking sector is a leading supporter.
