“Housing” invites real estate developers to form partnerships to develop housing units.

Ahmed Hussein Mandoura, Advisor to the Minister of Housing and CEO of the Private Sector Partnerships Unit, stressed that the role of the Ministry will be the regulator, catalyst and monitor, which contributes to the development of a set of programs that encourage the private sector to partner with the Ministry, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program 2020, which emphasized on raising the ownership rate, and enacting a number of laws and regulations that contribute to stimulating the sector and building an effective partnership with the citizen and the private sector to provide adequate housing in accordance with ownership paths with financing and savings solutions that suit citizen needs.

<This came during a meeting organized by the Real Estate Committee of the Riyadh Chamber, represented by the Housing and Urban Development Committee. Mandoura explained that the ministry invites real estate developers to hold partnerships with it in order to develop housing units in targeted price categories, according to a mechanism that includes the necessary controls and requirements that ensure the achievement of the strategic goal of providing housing for the citizen, as well as working with various government agencies to address any issues, especially since the ministry faces challenges and works to improve the housing environment through demand, supply and regulation.

<He reviewed the partnership programs for real estate developers with the Ministry of Housing, namely: Incentivizing real estate developers to develop private sector lands, partnership with real estate developers on the Ministry's lands, and partnership with large owners of private lands “white lands”.

The ministry has identified tools to support each program, and a mechanism to qualify real estate developers through organizational capabilities, quality efficiency, financial capabilities, record of achievements in the field of real estate development and the approach followed in the development in the context of competition.
