The Ministry of Justice’s real estate indicators, in a list of the most active cities by number and value of transactions by property type, revealed that Dammam topped the list of cities in the Eastern Province in both the residential and commercial sectors for the first quarter of 2017, In the residential sector, Dammam accounted for 2,138 real estate transactions with a total value of 2.15 billion riyals, and in the commercial sector, it accounted for 346 transactions worth 1.1 billion riyals.
Al-Ahsa came in second, with 1,488 residential transactions worth 766 million riyals and 172 commercial transactions worth 149 million riyals, followed by Hafar Al-Batin in third place, with 1,212 residential transactions totaling 186 million riyals and 264 commercial transactions worth 49.6 million riyals, Next was Al-Khobar, which ranked fourth with 859 residential real estate transactions totaling 1.29 billion riyals and 166 commercial transactions worth 624 million riyals; followed by the city of Al-Qatif, which ranked fifth, with 714 residential transactions totaling 571 million riyals and 128 commercial transactions totaling 257 million riyals.
The city of Al-Jafr accounted for 423 residential transactions worth 108 million riyals, and in the commercial sector, it recorded 52 transactions worth 17 million; followed by Al-Khafji, which recorded 265 residential transactions worth 96 million riyals and 49 commercial transactions worth 19 million, followed by Al-Nairiyah, which accounted for 191 residential transactions worth 22 million riyals and 66 commercial transactions worth 12 million, followed by Al-Qaisumah, which recorded 173 transactions worth 16.6 million riyals, and in the commercial sector, 39 transactions worth 3.6 million, followed by Abqaiq, which accounted for 141 residential transactions worth 47 million riyals and 45 commercial transactions worth 27 million, then Al-Ayoun, which accounted for 71 transactions worth 18 million riyals, and in the commercial sector, it recorded 30 transactions worth 14 million riyals, followed by Al-Olaya Village, which recorded 57 transactions worth 5 million riyals and 26 commercial transactions worth 2.1 million, then Al-Sarar City, which recorded 35 transactions worth 5.5 million riyals, and in the commercial sector, 9 transactions worth 6.9 million, followed by Ras Tanura, which accounted for 28 residential real estate transactions with a total value of 16 million riyals; in the commercial sector, there was one transaction worth 250,000 riyals.
Al-Rafiah recorded 28 transactions worth 1.3 million riyals, and in the commercial sector, it recorded 6 transactions worth 596,000 riyals, followed by Haradh, which recorded 22 transactions worth 1.7 million riyals; in the commercial sector, it recorded 11 transactions worth 9.2 million, followed by Maliha, which recorded 12 transactions worth 880,000 riyals, and in the commercial sector, 8 transactions worth 7.1 million riyals, then Madinat Al-Sa’ira, which accounted for 12 residential real estate transactions with a total value of 720,000 riyals, and in the commercial sector, 5 transactions worth 585,000 riyals.
