Ayham bin Mohammed Al-Youssef, General Supervisor of the Real Estate Development Fund, revealed that the fund has received 2,162 applications for self-build projects through its branches to date; these have been reviewed and are being forwarded to banks to complete the financing process.

Al-Yousef added that the Fund now acts as a liaison between citizens and banks to facilitate this process, whereas previously citizens would go to banks to obtain self-build financing, only to find the banks unprepared.

He noted that the total number of applicants for subsidized financing (self-construction and purchase of ready-built homes) reached approximately 7,469 beneficiaries, of whom 2,686 have had their financing approved.

Al-Youssef said that service centers for subsidized financing beneficiaries will be launched in the rest of the Kingdom next month, following the ones already launched in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.
