The Ministry of Housing reiterated its commitment to verifying the legal compliance of all companies participating in exhibitions and conferences and ensuring they have no legal violations, noting that it ensures the lawful participation of all relevant entities in all exhibitions and conferences it organizes and sponsors.
For his part, Ministry of Housing spokesperson Saif Al-Suwailem explained in a statement that the Ministry had previously organized a number of events related to the housing sector, such as the “Fourth Arab Housing Conference” and the ”Construction Technology Conference.” These conferences were accompanied by exhibitions featuring a number of companies and institutions involved in housing and reconstruction, as well as a number of local and international real estate development and financing companies; the legality of all participating entities“ procedures and operations is verified.
Al-Suwaileem noted the Ministry’s sponsorship of certain exhibitions organized by other entities, such as the ”Restatex“ International Real Estate Exhibition, which recently concluded, The Ministry coordinates with the organizers to ensure that companies and institutions participating in the exhibition comply with regulations and conditions—such as those of the ”Wafi” program for the off-plan sale of real estate units—in a manner that serves exhibition visitors and enhances the value and benefit of the events.”
The Riyadh Real Estate and Urban Development Exhibition was launched in 1998 as the first exhibition specializing in the Saudi real estate sector and the first of its kind in the Gulf region, To this day, the forum and exhibition remain the most important real estate event, featuring numerous new offerings for real estate and housing projects, as well as financing programs for the purchase of residential units and developer financing—as is customary every year—amid national, regional, and international participation. The Housing Forum in the Kingdom is also held on the sidelines of the exhibition.
