Solar power to supply electricity to Bahraini residences inaugurated and operational in December 2017

<In line with the Bahraini government's commitment to stimulate the use of renewable energy systems, especially solar energy in the homes of citizens in the housing sector, the Ministry of Housing has signed agreements to install a system for a limited number of rooftops of citizens benefiting from housing units. The current from the solar system will be launched on December 1, 2017.

<In the same direction, Housing explained that the initiative was taken to take the necessary measures to install a solar energy system to generate electricity on a limited number of rooftops of citizens' homes, at the initiative of the National Oil and Gas Authority, and with funding from Tatweer Petroleum, in order to support the idea of using clean and environmentally friendly energy and rationalize the consumption of electrical energy, The Ministry added during a visual presentation that the system contains (24-28) solar cell panels, and the capacity of each cell (panel) is 250-300 watts, and the total capacity of the solar panels reaches 7000 watts, and the estimated annual production of solar energy reaches (12,500 kWh per year).

The concerned parties briefed the beneficiary citizens on the entire agreement and the details of the project, including the design, the installation mechanism, the nature of the solar panels to be installed, ways to preserve them and not damage them, how they work, and the extent of the benefit achieved, who expressed their desire and readiness to benefit from this project, according to the objectives and goals of its implementation, and in accordance with the terms and conditions that clarify the obligations of the concerned parties.

With this agreement, the beneficiaries will be able to benefit from this project.
