The value of real estate transactions that took place during the month of Ramadan 1438 AH decreased to 31% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 12.5 billion riyals, according to data issued by the Ministry of Justice.
Decrease of 30% in 9 months
Over the past nine months of 1438 AH, real estate transactions decreased by 30% to reach 162.2 billion riyals compared to 230.5 billion riyals during the same period last year.
8.7 billion riyals for residential
Real estate transactions are distributed between residential and commercial, where the value of residential transactions during the month of Ramadan 1438 AH amounted to about 8.7 billion riyals, a decrease of 16% compared to the similar period of the previous year.
3.8 billion riyals for commercial
The value of commercial transactions amounted to about 3.8 billion riyals during the month of Ramadan of 1438 AH, recording a decrease of 51 %, compared to the same period last year.
11.3 billion riyals for land
Real estate transactions on land plots (residential and commercial) accounted for the largest share during Ramadan 1438 AH, with a value of 11.3 billion riyals, amounting to about 91 % of the total value, followed by apartment transactions worth 618.1 million riyals.

In terms of the most active cities in terms of the value of residential real estate transactions during Ramadan, Riyadh was the highest with deals worth 2.3 billion riyals, a decrease of 24 % compared to the same month last year, followed by Jeddah with about 1.3 billion riyals, a decrease of 17 %.
In terms of commercial transactions, Riyadh was also the most active, with the value of transactions that took place during Ramadan amounting to about 1.5 billion riyals, a decrease of 70% compared to the same month last year.
