The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - issued a number of royal orders, most notably the following:
Establishing an agency named "Presidency of State Security" concerned with all matters related to state security, and linked to the Prime Minister. - Approving the establishment of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, in accordance with its accompanying organization. - The necessary statutory procedures shall be completed in line with the organization of the Authority referred to in item (I) of this order, without prejudice to its performance of its tasks assigned to it under this organization.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - may God protect him - also ordered the formation of the Board of Directors of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, headed by His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Chairman of the Council of Economic Affairs and Development, and the membership of each of the following: His Highness Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf Al Muqrin, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Aqeel Al Khatib, His Excellency Dr. Fahad bin Abdullah Al Samari, and His Excellency Engineer Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Sultan.
Establishing a Royal Commission for AlUla Governorate. - The Commission shall have a board of directors, whose chairman, members and governor shall be appointed by order of the Prime Minister. - The Cabinet Committee of Experts - in coordination with the relevant authorities - shall prepare within a period not exceeding three months what is necessary to complete the necessary statutory procedures.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - may Allah protect him - also ordered the formation of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for AlUla Governorate, chaired by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and the membership of each of the following: His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Farhan Al Saud as Governor of the Authority, H.E. Mr. Saud bin Abdullah Al Qahtani, H.E. Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sheikh, H.E. Engineer Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Sultan, H.E. Dr. Fahad bin Abdullah Tonsi, Dr. Saad bin Abdullah Al Soyan, and Dr. Eid bin Hamad Al Yahya
