The 2017 Job Fair, organized by the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce, has completed its preparations to welcome participating companies and institutions, as well as the general public of both genders, The four-day event will take place from October 23–26, 2017, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, at the Dhahran Expo grounds.
In this regard, Abdulrahman Al-Ateishan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce, explained that the fair is seeing engagement from companies and entities involved in Saudization, training, and employment, noting that the previous edition of the fair featured the participation of 110 institutions and companies, with more than 5,000 job openings showcased, and the number of visitors exceeded 20,000, including job seekers and those interested in training and job Saudization. He expects this year’s edition to surpass the level of achievement and success attained last year, given the importance of the ’Saudization“ initiative at the national level in general, especially since this initiative has taken on additional significance due to the noticeable increase in demand for Saudi talent, particularly in the private sector.
Al-Ateishan emphasized that all activities of the annual fair aim to support job Saudization efforts by facilitating communication among various stakeholders involved in training, employment, and human resources management in both the public and private sectors, as the fair seeks to elevate the level of professional culture among job seekers and employers. He noted that the fair serves as a prime opportunity for the business sector to attract national talent, as well as a successful mechanism for providing employment opportunities to Saudi youth, thereby benefiting both parties.
