A video clip of a short but very important conversation between the Minister of Housing and a retired citizen in which he explains his own case about his failure to obtain the appropriate housing and he is the head of a family of 10 members, it is impossible for him to have a three-room apartment like him and any young man at the beginning of his life!!!
The issue of this citizen threw a stone in the waters of housing, as the passage by an inch that his retirement is one of the most important reasons for not owning housing because the Real Estate Fund is considered a contract holder with obligations, but the truth becomes unacceptable to this group who poured the sweat of their youth in the service of this country; it is not fair that their thinking is crowded with bank loans and products that do not meet their needs, should not those in charge of the matter who are the three sides of the triangle (the Ministry of Housing, the Real Estate Fund, and the financing bodies)? The Ministry of Housing, the Real Estate Fund and the financing bodies) should study their situation and develop realistic and feasible solutions by knowing what the issue is, otherwise they are sophistical solutions that consume time and the Ministry of Housing should consider cities with medium and low population density, especially since they have a lot of land that can be given to the largest segment of citizens for the purpose of converting them into private homes and with their desired specifications.
The Ministry of Housing and the Real Estate Fund must intensify the awareness of the citizen by providing him with all the information and the operation of the system and its channels until he owns a home, because there is a negative view by the citizen towards financing; some consider it a government grant due and do not see it as repayable, and the citizen must be educated on the need to transfer his personal data to the bank when approving the loan, this is not a violation of privacy and secrets as much as a normal procedure for any financing body, in addition to paying the first payment 15% of the loan value in addition to the first installment.
The suffering of special categories of citizens continues. The suffering of the special categories listed in the lists of beneficiaries continues with the Real Estate Fund, which transferred them to the banks and they choose those who finance them according to their requirements; which means excluding many from this service, and this is a second point that we hope to address so that the financing is not elitist and with special benefits that do not apply to the public, knowing that the government supports and bears the banks' commissions until the financing reaches the beneficiary without interest, just paying 500 thousand riyals.
That is why it must be added to the list of beneficiaries. Therefore, it is necessary to combine the efforts of all competent authorities in developing mechanisms to achieve the desired goals of the Ministry of Housing, the Real Estate Fund and the financing authorities to absorb the largest segment of the target audience and reconsider the mechanism by which banks deal with waiting lists and work to bridge the gap between the citizen and the services of the Real Estate Fund.
And this is a second point that we hope to address so that the financing is elite and with special benefits that are applicable to the public.
