The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers stated that a proposal had been submitted for His Majesty’s consideration to hold Cabinet meetings on Tuesdays instead of Mondays, in light of the establishment of the Council of Political and Security Affairs and the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, and given that Royal Decree No. (A/185) dated 14/8/1434 AH, which stipulates that official working days for all ministries, agencies, government institutions, and financial institutions shall be from Sunday through Thursday, which may not allow the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and other government agencies sufficient time to prepare for the convening of the esteemed Council’s sessions on Monday of each week; and His Majesty’s approval has been granted for this.
His Highness the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God support him – and the Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God protect him – for this approval, which will enhance government performance and integration in the work of all state institutions.
