The Ministry of Housing represented in the rental sector confirmed that the network developed by the ministry accepts only Saudi brokers in accordance with the real estate offices regulation.
The number of real estate brokers registered in the 'Ejar" program since the launch of registration earlier this year is very excellent, indicating that the numbers vary according to the registration status between certified brokers and brokers in training, and that the number of registered will be announced later in detail.
Ejar provides a record of rental behavior for the real estate broker, and enables him to see the behavior of the tenant and the lessor, and is not a blacklist, indicating that registration in 'Ejar" is mandatory.
He explained that the issue of fees on rental contracts has not been decided yet, stressing that the main objective of the program is to regulate the rental sector in the Kingdom and preserve the rights of the parties to the rental process.
It is worth mentioning that the "Ejar" system governs the relationship between the landlord and the tenant by documenting the lease contract, and can link real estate offices in the Kingdom to a special technical network, which shows tenants" information and their credit history in terms of rent payment and default, and the date of payment, whether monthly, semi-annually or annually, in addition to six other services.
