UK mortgage loans grew to £68,689k in July

Data released by the Bank of England on Wednesday revealed that mortgage loans in the United Kingdom recorded a growth of 68.689 thousand pounds in July, compared to 65.318 thousand pounds in June, this growth comes despite the slow pace of growth in retail lending, and analysts had expected that mortgage loans would grow at 65.5 thousand pounds.

Data released by the Bank of England on Wednesday revealed that mortgage loans in the United Kingdom recorded a growth of 68.689 thousand pounds in July, compared to 65.318 thousand pounds in June. Retail lending fell to GBP 4.8 billion in July, compared to GBP 4.6 billion in June, while analysts had expected retail lending to fall to GBP 5.3 billion.

This growth comes despite a slower pace of growth in mortgage lending, which was expected to grow at GBP 65.5 thousand.
