To support and strengthen its relationships with various entities The Ministry of Housing, represented by Minister Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and His Excellency Dr. Ghassan bin Ahmed Al-Suleiman, Governor of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), signed last week, during the Biban 2017 Forum, (3) memoranda of cooperation to launch an electronic platform for facilities management and to strengthen and facilitate the efforts made by both parties.
The platform is an extension of the agreement previously signed between the two parties during the launch of the Saudi Real Estate Institute, which stipulates cooperation within the framework of current and future initiatives impacting small and medium-sized enterprises, in addition to providing the necessary support to them, working to increase productivity in the construction, housing, and real estate sectors, and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and enabling them to thrive by leading cooperation with strategic partners in the public and private sectors.
Engineer Mohammed bin Muammar, supervisor of the Ministry of Housing’s Landlords Union Program, explained that the platform will allow maintenance, operations, and facility management companies to apply through the online portal via simplified and clear procedures.
The memorandums of cooperation included strengthening and facilitating efforts between the two parties, coordinating to enable Saudi youth to access real estate financing, and cooperating to establish a program for real estate financing guarantees, as well as another memorandum to activate coordination between the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises and the Ministry of Housing, and to develop a plan for joint cooperation and a scope of work on the strategic and executive tracks of initiatives and projects for both parties in a manner that serves common national objectives.
