The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs confirmed that it does not impose fees on public utilities, based on the amendments contained in the regulations governing the disposal of municipal real estate.

The ministry’s official spokesperson, Hamad Al-Omar, denied the accuracy of reports circulating on social media regarding the imposition of fees on public facilities, explaining that the amendments to the regulations governing the disposal of municipal real estate included provisions to transform these facilities from a cost center into a revenue source, such as daily, weekly, and monthly rentals, as well as other measures designed to improve the efficiency of managing these facilities.
