The value of real estate transactions completed during the month of Muharram fell by 29% compared to the same period last year, reaching 14.8 billion riyals, while the value of real estate transactions recorded a 27% decline during the year 1438 AH, amounting to 75.4 billion riyals, compared to the year 1437 AH, continuing its decline for the third consecutive year.
Real estate transactions are divided between residential and commercial properties, with the value of residential transactions during the month of Muharram 1439 AH reaching approximately 10.5 billion riyals, a decrease of 7 % compared to the same period of the previous year, while the value of commercial transactions reached approximately 4.3 billion riyals during the month of Muharram 1439 AH, marking a 55 % decline compared to the same period last year.
Real estate transactions involving land plots (residential and commercial) accounted for the largest share during the month of Muharram in the year 1439 AH, with a value of 13.1 billion riyals, accounting for approximately 89 % of the total value, followed by apartment transactions worth 874.1 million riyals.
As for the most active cities in terms of the value of residential real estate transactions during the month of Muharram, Riyadh ranked first with transactions totaling 3.54 billion riyals, an increase of 4 % compared to the same month last year, followed by Jeddah with 1.57 billion riyals, a decrease of 29 %.
As for commercial transactions, Riyadh was the most active city, with the value of transactions completed during Muharram reaching approximately 1.48 billion riyals, a decrease of 62 % compared to the same month last year.
