Fahad Mohammed Al-Hammadi, President of the Federation of Arab Contractors, explained that the Arab construction sector has witnessed great progress, but it still needs more efforts and attention, especially in following up modern technologies, their use and the exchange of experiences and information about them, and appreciated the efforts of the first scientific conference in modern construction technologies, which was held today in the Jordanian capital, Amman, indicating its utmost importance in following up the interest and aspirations of the contracting sector in the field of modern construction technologies.
<Al Hammadi stressed that the interest in modern technologies opens wider fields for all sectors related to the contracting sector and promotes many industries that can be an important tributary to the economies of our Arab countries. During his speech at the conference, Al Hammadi explained that the Saudi Neom City project is one of the modern and important projects, and includes a number of sectors, including solar energy, health, smart technologies, high-speed transportation, and port infrastructure construction. Al Hammadi concluded that NEOM is a pivotal project linking the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Jordan and the State of Egypt, as 70% of the world's population can reach the site within a maximum of 8 hours, allowing the best of the world's major regions in terms of knowledge, technology, research and education to be brought together.
