Sharqiya Business Forum and Exhibition 2017 offers industrial land to 220 male and female pioneers

The fifth edition of the 2017 Young Entrepreneurs Forum and Exhibition, organized by the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce at Dhahran Expo, concluded yesterday, Wednesday. The exhibition was launched under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province.

230 Initiatives by Male and Female Entrepreneurs

The exhibition featured more than 230 initiatives by male and female entrepreneurs in the Eastern Province. The event showcased a range of products, services, and initiatives that reflect the development of the region’s economic landscape, particularly among young male and female entrepreneurs, He also honored the sponsors and supporters of this event.

Industrial Land for 220 Entrepreneurs

During the exhibition, His Highness launched the “Sana’a” initiative, a partnership between the Eastern Province Secretariat and the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce aimed at providing plots of land at a nominal price to create an investment environment that fosters national light industries, which works to diversify local investments and industries for young male and female entrepreneurs in the region through an electronic mechanism based on criteria for selecting the best beneficiaries and with strong governance.

The initiative aims to offer industrial land at reduced prices, provide 220 entrepreneurs with industrial land, and create success stories in the industrial sector, in fulfillment of its mission to offer incentives and discounts on industrial land to young male and female entrepreneurs to support the industrial sector and strengthen the national economy, and based on its vision, which emphasizes that the initiative should create an attractive environment in the field of industrial incubators for entrepreneurs in the Kingdom and contribute to growth and prosperity.

Identifying and supporting youth projects

Abdulrahman Al-Ateishan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce, said that the Young Entrepreneurs Forum and Exhibition is considered one of the most important and prominent economic events in the Eastern Province, as it is an event where young entrepreneurs and innovators showcase their products and services, amid a growing economy that underscores the need to expand understanding of market dynamics, constantly seek opportunities, and form partnerships to improve performance. He explained that the vision of the exhibition and forum is to be a leader in the development of young entrepreneurs in the region, while it is held to send a message to interested parties and investors—particularly large companies, all members and institutions of the business community, major corporations, and businesspeople—regarding the need to familiarize themselves with the products and services of projects led by young men and women, and to support them so that there are enterprises capable of competing both domestically and internationally—which is precisely what the exhibition and forum are providing during its current three-day run.
