The Real Estate Contributions Division of the General Court in Riyadh has concluded 86 cases involving distressed real estate contributions, with a total area of more than 71 million square meters and a market value estimated at billions of riyals.

Among the concluded cases is one involving the “Al-Kharj Land” development, covering an area of 12 million square meters, and the “Al-Nourus Project,” which has 680 shareholders and a total area of 3 million square meters. Some of these projects have been stalled for as long as 40 years, and the combined number of affected shareholders exceeds tens of thousands.

The committee is currently reviewing a number of other contributions, one of which has been stalled for 45 years in the Makkah region. The total area of the remaining contributions is estimated at approximately 70 million square meters, The department has also documented 4,803 deeds for shareholders who have received their entitlements.
