In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Praise be to God, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of God.
Brothers and sisters:
Peace be upon you, God's mercy and blessings...
I am pleased to open today the work of the second year of the seventh session of the Consultative Council, praying to God Almighty to make our work sincere to his honorable face and to take our hands for the good of the country and its people, appreciating the Council for its efforts and work, and wishing you success.
Since the Kingdom was founded by King Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him, it has been based on the application of God's law, adherence to Islamic doctrine, justice in all matters, and the principle of shura.
We thank God for His perfect blessings, and we thank Him for the honor of serving His Holy House, the Mosque of His Prophet (peace be upon him), and the pilgrims, Umrah pilgrims and visitors.
Brothers and sisters:
<The Kingdom's Vision 2030 contains development plans and programs aimed at preparing the Kingdom for a promising future, God willing. To achieve the objectives of the vision, some government agencies were restructured and a number of decisions were taken to serve the interest of society, enhance national security, combat corruption, and increase the participation of male and female citizens in national development.
Brothers and sisters.
<We value the role of the private sector as an important partner in development, supporting the national economy, expanding the employment of young men and women, and localizing technology, and we will continue, God willing, to empower and incentivize the private sector to achieve further growth and development.
I have directed ministers and officials to facilitate procedures and provide more high-quality services to citizens and expand a number of programs that touch the main needs of citizens, the most important of which is the housing program.
Brothers and sisters:
Corruption in all its types and forms is a serious scourge that undermines societies and prevents their renaissance and development, and we have resolved, with God's help and strength, to confront it fairly and firmly so that our country, God willing, can enjoy the renaissance and development that every citizen hopes for. In this context, our order came to form a supreme committee for public corruption cases headed by His Highness the Crown Prince.
Their actions do not undermine the integrity of the honorable citizens of this pure country, including princes, ministers, businessmen, employees and workers at all levels and in various positions of responsibility in the public and private sectors, as well as residents, workers and investors, whom we are proud of, and we support them and wish them success.
Brothers and sisters:
Your country seeks to develop its present, build its future and move forward on the path of development, modernization and continuous development in a manner that does not contradict its constants, adhering to moderation as God has commanded us to do so, cherishing our values and constants.
Our message to all is that we are proud of our country, we are proud of it, we praise its hands and we wish it success.
<Our message to everyone is that there is no place among us for an extremist who sees moderation as decadence and exploits our tolerant faith to achieve his goals, nor for a degenerate who sees our war on extremism as a means of spreading decadence and exploiting the ease of religion to achieve his goals.
Brothers and sisters:
The Kingdom has an influential role in regional and international organizations and enjoys regional and international recognition, which enabled it to hold historic summits in their timing and decisions, in which a large number of leaders of brotherly and friendly countries participated, and established joint action aimed at achieving security and stability in the region and the world.
The Kingdom has continued its effective leadership role in confronting the phenomenon of terrorism and drying up its sources.
The Kingdom has called for a political solution to end the crises in the region and resolve its issues, foremost among which is the Palestinian issue and the restoration of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
On this occasion, I emphasize the Kingdom's condemnation and strong regret for the US decision on Jerusalem, as it represents a great bias against the historical and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people in Jerusalem, which are guaranteed by the relevant international resolutions and have been recognized and supported by the international community.
On the other hand, the Kingdom is working with its allies to counter the tendency to interfere in the internal affairs of internal states, fuel sectarian strife and destabilize regional security and stability.
It seeks to consolidate the values of tolerance and coexistence, and works to alleviate the suffering of peoples.
<In my speech, which is distributed to you, I will provide a comprehensive review of your government's domestic and foreign policy and monitor its achievements during the past year. <I ask God Almighty to grant us all success in serving our dear homeland. <May God's peace, mercy and blessings be upon you.
