The “Etam” Developer Services Center at the Ministry of Housing recently received 30 applications to develop projects covering an area exceeding 40 million square meters in the cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, and Dammam, In this regard, Mohammed Al-Mudehim, advisor and general supervisor of the Ministry of Housing’s White Land Fees Program, revealed that development applications in Riyadh have reached 30 million square meters, for both residential and non-residential land.

Al-Madiheim noted that development applications this year have increased by approximately 25% compared to 2016, adding that the White Land Fees Program has issued 1,466 invoices for 400 million square meters across the three cities, and that 850 payment orders were contested—representing more than 50%—while 130 objections were accepted, resulting in the fees being waived due to impediments related to Article 9 of the Land Fees Regulations.
