Saudi courts concluded about 2504 Waqf cases during the first quarter of the current Hijri year, with an estimated daily average of 28 cases, an increase of 10% percent compared to the same period last Hijri year.
According to judicial statistics, suspended lands accounted for about 28% of the total cases.
Riyadh courts accounted for about 29% of endowment cases, with 732 cases, followed by the Mecca region with 514 cases, then the Eastern region with 464 cases.
The number of endowment cases in Madinah region reached 289 cases, followed by Qassim region with 232 cases, Asir region with 82 cases, Hail region with 45 cases, Tabuk region with 35 cases, followed by Najran region with 26 cases.
Jouf region recorded the least number of endowments during the first quarter of the current Hijri year with 11. The number of endowments in Al-Baha region reached 25 cases, followed by Al-Jouf region with 16 cases.
