In preparation for the official launch of the service and to facilitate the registration of lease agreements through the online rental services platform, the Ministry of Housing organized a workshop to train and qualify employees at real estate brokerage firms, to familiarize them with the mechanisms and features of the “Ejar” network. The workshop took place over the past two days in Makkah and the Jeddah Governorate.

The presentation covered the steps for registering in the system, as well as an explanation of the rights and obligations of each party involved in the rental process, The session also covered the process of adding rental units and registering real estate brokerage agreements, provided a detailed explanation of how to handle the standardized lease agreement and reviewed all its clauses, and outlined the mechanism for electronically notarizing lease agreements via the Absher platform.

It is worth noting that the “Ejar” network aims to be the primary driver for developing and increasing trust in the rental sector, as well as improving its investment environment to achieve a better balance between supply and demand, thereby ensuring the sector’s sustainability, development, and regulation, in addition to documenting contracts and safeguarding the rights of all parties. To this end, it relies on the qualification and licensing of real estate brokerage firms and the establishment of regulatory and supervisory policies and procedures for their operations, thereby helping to reduce the number of pending cases related to the rental sector, and improving the sector’s performance and increasing its contribution to GDP.
