It does not include furnished apartments. Riyadh Municipality emphasizes adherence to residential use on streets (30-36)

​The Riyadh Region Secretariat confirmed that, following the third meeting of the Supreme Commission for the Development of Riyadh in 1434 AH—chaired by His Royal Highness the Governor of the Riyadh Region—regarding a study of high-rise construction along streets (30–36) meters in the city of Riyadh, the Riyadh Region Municipality and the Projects and Planning Center of the Supreme Commission for the Development of Riyadh City have recommended the following:
Adherence to residential use as stipulated in the decision of the Supreme Commission for the Development of Riyadh at its third meeting of 1434 AH, held on 26 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1434 AH; this does not include furnished apartments or other services Developers are granted a grace period of five (5) years to bring all uses that do not comply with the Authority’s resolution into compliance with residential use (residential apartments). As less than five months remain in this grace period, the Secretariat requests that owners of properties used in violation of residential zoning vacate them by September 22, 1439 AH.
