Saudi-Japanese Vision 2030 inaugurated, 6 MoUs signed, 3 Japanese companies licensed

The General Investment Authority issued three investment licenses to Japanese companies, with a capital of 4 million riyals and 100% Japanese ownership, Six memorandums of understanding were signed between the two countries during the launch of the “Saudi-Japan Vision 2030” programs and the opening of the Saudi-Japanese Business Forum.

The Minister of Commerce and Investment, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, affirmed that the Kingdom is the most suitable base for the Japanese business sector, as it provides all the necessary elements and opportunities for expansion into the markets of the Middle East and Africa, enabling investors to achieve the highest profit margins with the lowest risks in a suitable environment and with advanced infrastructure, along with the ongoing improvement and continuous development of procedures and regulations.

The Governor of the General Investment Authority, Engineer Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, expressed his hope that the Saudi-Japanese Business Forum will contribute to the realization of the national social and economic visions of both countries, by capitalizing on common ground, fostering integration, maximizing synergies, strengthening economic ties, and promoting investment opportunities with Japan in promising sectors.

The forum was attended by Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry, Mr. Hiroshi Seko, along with a select group of government sector leaders. The three investment licenses granted included SMBC, a company specializing in financial and management consulting; ”SB. Energy,” which specializes in renewable energy consulting, and ”TADANO,“ which provides scientific and technical services to Saudi agents specializing in the industrial sector.
