Statistics from the Ministry of Labor revealed that 216,165 establishments participated in the program to support the growth of Saudi workforce participation in establishments, Khalid Abaalkheil, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor and Social Development and the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf), emphasized that the program contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and increasing the participation rate of Saudi men and women in the labor market.
He explained that the program serves all private-sector establishments active in the social insurance system, as the fund contributes a percentage of the monthly social insurance premium on behalf of establishments that increase their number of Saudi employees.
He noted that the support covers male and female employees hired by the establishment after July 31, 2017, for a period of two years, with “Hadaf” contributing 15% of the employee’s total monthly salary, while the contribution reaches 20% of a female employee’s total monthly salary. He explained that the support is directed at establishments to incentivize the hiring of Saudi men and women, bridge the wage gap, and cover the costs of onboarding and on-the-job training.
For its part, the Human Resources Development Fund has called on establishments wishing to register for the program to log in to their account on the Social Insurance website. Establishments can also review the terms and conditions by visiting the “Hadaf” website.
