The National Committee for Cement Companies of the Council of Saudi Chambers elected Jihad bin Abdulaziz Al-Rashid as its chairman, and Engineer Safar bin Muhammad Dhafir and Dr. Ahmad bin Abduh Zqail as vice chairmen for the new term of the Council’s national committees, 1435 AH – 1438 AH.
This announcement came during a meeting held by the committee in Jeddah recently, during which a number of topics related to the cement industry in the Kingdom were discussed.
Al-Rashid noted that the formation of a committee specializing in cement companies was a necessity dictated by the importance of this vital sector, and the positive future outlook for this sector, given the steady growth of the Saudi economy, which is increasing the need for more infrastructure projects and real estate investments—projects in which cement plays a vital role. It also presents a valuable opportunity for companies operating in this sector to double and expand their production to keep pace with this boom and achieve lucrative returns.
Jihad Al-Rashid, the president-elect of the National Committee for Cement Companies at the Council of Saudi Chambers, the support and attention that the national committees receive from the Council and all government agencies, as well as their backing for the committees’ various activities and the mobilization of resources to serve their objectives, which has helped increase the effectiveness of these committees in serving the sectors they represent
