Today, Sunday, the first day of Rajab 1439 AH, corresponding to March 18, 2018 AD, marks the start of the first auction of the assets of businessman Ma’an Al-Sanea and Saad Trading, Contracting, and Financial Services Company. The first auction, which will last five days, is being held at the Saad Industrial Center in the Eastern Province to sell vehicles and equipment, including more than 900 trucks, buses, cars, and heavy machinery.
The Itqan Consortium explained that the Joint Enforcement Department at the Al-Khobar Enforcement Court had reviewed all preparations for conducting this auction and oversaw the preparation of the entire auction site. The consortium added that a large number of prospective bidders have submitted applications to participate in the auction, which is expected to attract companies, institutions, and local and Gulf investors engaged in related commercial activities, in addition to numerous car dealerships from various regions of the Kingdom and a large number of individuals.
The management of the Itqan Consortium stated that the auction will feature more than 300 vehicles of various types—including “sedans, pickup trucks, ambulances, and golf carts”—from different brands. Additionally, 50 “dina” trucks used for transporting goods and waste. Additionally, 150 large buses with capacities of “50” and ”30“ passengers will be offered for sale at the auction, along with trailers including a range of multi- “Lobad” with high-load capacities, long flatbeds, and others designed for transporting vehicles, in addition to a range of refrigerated trucks of various sizes, fuel and water tanks, sewage tanks, and dump trucks. More than 140 Mercedes-Benz “Actros, standard models, civil defense vehicles, water tankers, dump trucks, and container trucks.” Equipment of various types and models will also be sold, including generators and electrical transformers, engines, motor generators, and various machinery, “cranes” for all construction work, construction equipment for all tasks, a diverse range of “shovels,” excavators of various sizes, a range of forklifts, and numerous other pieces of equipment.
Meanwhile, the consortium confirmed that preparations were completed well in advance to welcome investors at the Saad Industrial Center, located on “Baqiq Highway toward Dhahran, past the Industrial Bridge,” where the distribution, arrangement, and deployment of equipment, vehicles, and buses belonging to businessman Ma’an bin Abdulwahid Al-Sanea, and Saad Trading and Contracting Company at the Baqiq site, thanks to the efforts of an integrated team of supervisors and skilled workers specializing in towing, mechanics, and electrical work, as well as operating various large pieces of equipment and hydraulic systems for lifting and transport, in addition to transport equipment such as cranes, transporters, and flatbeds to distribute each type to a specific area for display and auction, taking into account the proper method of display and arrangement to best present them to investors.
It is worth noting that the auction will begin today, Sunday, at 4:00 p.m. and will continue through Thursday in two sessions: the first from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the second from 2:00 p.m. until Maghrib prayer.
