The Al-Ahsa Municipality announced the disbursement of compensation payments for property expropriations to make way for major roads and streets within Al-Ahsa and its outskirts, with 525 properties expropriated, totaling 486,711,480 riyals.
In this regard, Al-Ahsa Mayor Engineer Adel bin Muhammad Al-Melhem confirmed that the municipality is in the process of taking possession of the expropriated properties to complete the removal and demolition of properties located on King Abdulaziz Road (“Al-Jami’ah”) “ and King Khalid Road ”Al-Majid,” as well as the Al-Raf’ah neighborhood and Baladiya Street, noting that the municipality has sought to develop key studies and plans to implement its development and service projects through the expropriation of properties to make way for vital roads and streets within Al-Ahsa and its outskirts, with the aim of improving traffic flow to serve residents and visitors to the region.
The Mayor of Al-Ahsa added that the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Engineer Abdul Latif Al Sheikh, approved the construction of the road connecting the eastern and western parts of Al-Mubarraz, noting that the Al-Ahsa Municipality has prepared a study and development plans for Al-Mubarraz to help improve traffic flow in the city, explaining that 45 properties located along the project route will be expropriated. The project will be carried out to the highest technical standards and quality, taking all traffic safety factors into account.
