The Ministry of Housing’s «Etem» Developer Services Center received applications for the approval of 89 residential development plans with a total area exceeding 118 million square meters.
The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs has approved 76 plans, with a total area of 85.4 million square meters, and approval of the remaining plans is expected to be completed in the near future.
Mohammed bin Saud Al-Ghazwani, General Supervisor of the «Etmam» Developer Services Center, explained that the 76 plans included projects spread across all regions of the Kingdom, noting that 15 plans were approved in Makkah, 11 in Riyadh and Asir, two each in Ha’il, Tabuk, and Al-Jawf, five in Al-Sharqiyah and Jazan, 10 plans in Madinah, 4 in Al-Qassim, and 9 in Al-Baha.
Al-Ghazwani noted that the approval of these plans will add a large number of housing units—expected to exceed 200,000—which will help meet the needs of citizens in a number of regions across the Kingdom.He added that the «Itmam» Center is continuing to finalize the approval procedures for 13 additional housing project plans expected to add more than 50,000 housing units, with 3 plans located in the Riyadh region, two in Ha’il and the Eastern Province, and one each in Madinah, Al-Jawf, Tabuk, Makkah, the Northern Border Region, and the Najran Region.
