With the participation of 300 specialized entities from 55 countries, Hamad bin Ali Al-Shuwaier, Vice Chairman of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, inaugurated the 10th edition of the Riyadh International Travel Fair on Tuesday evening at the Prince Sultan Hall in the Al Faisaliah Hotel.
The four-day exhibition, which runs from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., provides an open platform for professionals and the general public, allowing them to interact directly with various tourism authorities, hotels, airlines, and travel agencies from around the world. The first day saw interest from various segments of society, with attendees witnessing clear competition among different countries to showcase their tourist destinations and product offerings in the travel and tourism industry, which is being revitalized by modern technologies that are bringing the world’s nations and diverse cultures closer together.
The exhibition serves as a unique platform for tourist destinations targeting various segments of Saudi tourists ahead of the upcoming summer vacation in the coming weeks. Participating countries include: Egypt, Bahrain, Poland, South Korea, Greece, Jordan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, the Seychelles, Ethiopia, Turkey, the Netherlands, Sweden, the Nordic countries, Spain, Norway, Denmark, and Mauritius.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have a strong presence at the fair, including the pavilions they sponsor. The Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority is the strategic partner, with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority as the Platinum Partner, Tourism Indonesia as the Diamond Partner, Riyadh Travel and Tourism Agency as the Gold Partner, and Czech Tourism as the Silver Partner.
