<The Ministry of Commerce and Investment has launched a new feature in the electronic discount licensing system that enables owners of centers and shops to submit applications for seasonal and pre-determined discount licenses, such as the pre-Ramadan season, the mid-year holiday season, the National Day celebration, and the Riyadh Shopping and Entertainment Festival. The Ministry explained that the launch of such a feature in the electronic system for discount licenses comes from its effective role to motivate and enable shop owners to take advantage of these seasons, which are characterized by a higher percentage of shoppers than the rest of the year, which will give them the opportunity to benefit from them, as the discounts in these seasons will be wider and more comprehensive.

The Ministry indicated that the days of discounts in these seasons will not be deducted from the balance of discounts available annually for shops, indicating that this service will be provided starting from April 2018, in cooperation with Thiqa Business Services Company.
