The Ministry of Housing affirmed that it has fulfilled all its promises, emphasizing that it is also committed to the deadlines it set for beginning the distribution of available housing support projects to eligible recipients in all regions of the Kingdom, in accordance with their priorities, noting that the distribution of housing projects across all regions will be carried out through a mechanism that ensures fairness and transparency for those who meet the eligibility criteria for housing support.
The Ministry stated that applications submitted through the “Iskan” housing support portal are nearing completion of the verification and processing phase with the relevant authorities. Text messages will be sent to all applicants who do not meet the eligibility criteria, explaining the reasons, as well as those with incomplete applications or comments on their applications, so they can review and complete them by logging into the Eskan portal at WWW.eskan.gov.sa.
For his part, Ministry of Housing spokesperson Engineer Mohammed Al-Zumaie explained that the Ministry will announce in the coming period the start date for distributing housing subsidies in each region, the distribution phases and mechanism, and the number of eligible recipients in the Kingdom as a whole and in each region, in accordance with the principle of transparency, in accordance with its previous announcement that this would take place within 7 months starting from May 6, 1435, which is the date on which the Housing Portal was launched for all citizens to submit their applications for housing subsidies, so that the allocation phase for available housing units to eligible citizens can begin before the end of this year, with distribution based on priority points across the Kingdom’s various regions.
Al-Zumaie stated that the Ministry began distributing a number of housing units in Jazan starting last Sha’ban, as part of one of the latest projects constructed by the Ministry: the Al-Yasmin neighborhood project in the province of Ahda Al-Masariha.
Regarding projects in the Asir region, he noted that the Ministry is currently carrying out infrastructure work as part of the “Land and Loan” program for the “Abha” housing project, which covers an area of 1.058 million square meters and will accommodate the construction of 902 housing units, as well as the “Khamis Mushait” housing project, which covers an area of approximately 4.98 million square meters and will accommodate the construction of 5,013 housing units.
