An agreement to prevent double taxation between the Kingdom and the UAE

<His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, signed with His Excellency the Minister of State for Financial Affairs in the United Arab Emirates an agreement to avoid double taxation with regard to taxes on income and capital and to prevent tax evasion between the Kingdom and the UAE. The meeting held between the two ministers in Jeddah also discussed issues related to the customs union and the Gulf common market in order to achieve national treatment for various economic activities and professions, overcome all difficulties and unify procedures that would facilitate the trade exchange process and the flow of goods through customs ports between the two countries. The meeting, which was attended by His Excellency the Governor of the General Authority for Zakat and Income, Engineer Suhail bin Mohammed Abanmi, and a number of specialists from the Ministry of Finance and the General Authority for Zakat and Income, reviewed many financial and economic issues of common interest, and a number of decisions were taken that would promote economic integration between the two brotherly countries, overcome obstacles and increase gains for the benefit of the citizens of the two countries.
