The Ministries of Justice and Commerce announced the transfer of the jurisdiction to the criminal courts from the commercial paper dispute resolution offices formed at the Ministry of Commerce and Investment to the criminal courts, thus making the criminal courts the competent judicial authority to hear commercial paper-related cases, including the crimes of issuing bad checks and applying the statutory penalties to violators.
