The Ministry of Housing announced the launch of the second phase of the “A’ali Jeddah” project, located in the Prince Fawaz neighborhood in southern Jeddah, confirming that reservations for the first phase have been completed, with 1,370 confirmed reservations for residential units in the project.
In a press release, the Ministry explained that the project’s capacity had been increased to accommodate all eligible beneficiaries, and invited those interested in visiting the exhibition and viewing details of the residential units to visit the “Sakani” program’s website “Sakani” program via the following link: https://sakani.housing.sa/project/425828. The exhibition is open from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., every day of the week except Friday.
The “A’ali Jeddah” project is distinguished by its strategic location on land owned by the Ministry of Housing in the Prince Fawaz neighborhood of Jeddah Governorate, midway between King Abdulaziz International Airport, the Port of Jeddah, and King Abdulaziz University, It is also no more than 10 kilometers from the city center, The project covers an area of approximately one million square meters and offers more than 9,686 apartment units in various sizes, featuring three different designs with areas up to 264 square meters per apartment and prices starting at 260,000 riyals, in order to meet the needs and preferences of all beneficiaries of the housing support program.
For his part, Saif bin Salem Al-Suwailem, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Housing, explained that the ministry is committed to meeting the needs of all beneficiaries of housing support programs and reducing waiting lists, which are among the ministry’s top priorities, emphasizing that this is an extension of what was announced as part of “Housing Program,” launched this year, in which 16 government agencies are collaborating to raise the homeownership rate to 60% during 2020 and reach 70% by 2030.
He noted that partnership projects with the private sector ensure high-quality execution through strict oversight of all implementation stages, and they are committed to meeting the highest standards in accordance with the Saudi Building Code. He emphasized that all such projects will be delivered within a maximum of three years from the date reservations are finalized and construction begins.
Regarding the “A’ali Jeddah” project, Al-Suwaileem explained that the project is characterized by integrated infrastructure, the provision of designated sites for numerous public and recreational facilities, and the allocation of sites for service providers, including educational, health, and other institutions, in addition to providing numerous spaces for green areas, public parks, and playgrounds. and commercial spaces will also be constructed on the project site. He emphasized that the completion of reservations for the first phase of the project and the launch of the second phase reflect the high demand and strong confidence the project enjoys, and that it meets the expectations of its beneficiaries.
He noted that more projects in various regions of the Kingdom will be announced in the coming period in partnership with qualified real estate developers, pointing out that more than 60,000 residential units under construction in various regions of the Kingdom have been announced recently, while the reservation rate for these projects reached approximately 43%, and the reservation process for the remaining units is ongoing.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Housing announced the launch of the “Sakani” program in early 2017; during its first year, 282,000 housing units and financing products were allocated across all regions of the Kingdom, It also announced its target for the current year, 2018, to allocate 300,000 housing and financing products, which are announced in monthly batches in the middle of each month.
